Richland Fire Chief Wes Meyers confirmed to 6 News that one firefighter suffered minor injuries on Wednesday after falling from the roof of a Lorain Borough home.

911 officials say several area departments were dispatched to a reported house fire Wednesday afternoon along the 200 block of View Street.

While assisting with extinguishing the blaze, officials say a Richland firefighter fell from the roof and suffered "bruises."

Chief Meyers says the firefighter was released from Conemaugh Hospital Wednesday night. No other injuries were reported in the blaze.

Officials with the Oakland Vol. Fire Company say a state police fire marshal has been called in to investigate the cause of the fire.
