JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) - Even though the coronavirus pandemic continues, many animals still need good homes right now.
We are still showing you adoptable animals in our fur-ever friends segment. It's a great time to adopt an animal, if you have the means to do so.
Jessica Vamos, the executive director of the Humane Society of Cambria County, joined us for a video chat to show off one of their adoptable animals. She said this is a great time to bring a pet into your home.
Vamos said Kumi is a female and a few years old. She was left abandoned in front of the shelter in July. Vamos said Kumi did not have the best past and suffered abuse in her past. Kumi is very loyal and she likes to give her paw for treats. Vamos said she would be a great companion during this time.
Vamos said they are looking for an experienced dog owner. Adoption applications can be submitted online or dropped off at shelter. They need to approve the application before meeting Kumi. The Cambria County Humane Society has a tent outside that they are using for meet and greets. They are practicing social distancing while wearing masks and sanitizing everything.
If you’re interested in adopting Kumi, the shelter’s number is (814) 535-6116 and the e-mail is cambriacountyhumanesociety@gmail.com. You can also find them on Facebook or fill adoption form on their website.
