RICHLAND, Pa (WJAC) — The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation awards grant money to fire departments across the country and the Richland Township Fire Department received $23,000 to purchase 17 new air lifting bags.
Firehouse Subs on Scalp Avenue held a ceremony on Wednesday to present the donation.
Officials with Richland Fire Department say three of their bags recently failed and others were in need of being replaced, and this donation gives them a full complement of bags, which fill in mere seconds, in rescue efforts.
