The 26th annual Johnstown PolkaFest is happening this weekend at People’s Natural Gas Park.
It's one of the city's most popular summertime events.
Organizers say PolkaFest attracts about 10,000 people over the course of the weekend.
They said the bands they have this year are some of the best in the country in the polka scene.
The event offers ethnic food, polka mass and, of course, dancing to the polka music.
Jayne Korenoski, Director of Advertising and Sales for Visit Johnstown, said, “Come and join the event, it’s just so much fun. It’s my favorite event because everybody’s happy at PolkaFest. It’s just one of those events where you can’t help but smile and have a wonderful time.”
The event runs through Sunday, with the polka mass scheduled for noon that day.
